What is HFPC?
New Beginnings Are So Important
Babies do not come with instruction manuals, and too many families have nowhere to turn for advice or other help.
Healthy Families Page County is a new program in our community which assists first-time families by providing resources, education and encouragement.
How the Program Works
The Healthy Families staff visits new and expectant parents to determine how much support is needed. Some families may be referred to existing community resources while other will have the opportunity to work with a Healthy Families Support Worker.
Services Offered
The Healthy Families Support Worker assists new parents by providing information about things like:
- How a child grows and develops
- Fun activities for parents and babies
- Feeding and teething issues
- How to calm a crying baby
- Finding reliable child care
- How to find community services for the family
- Well baby care and immunization schedules
- Home and child safety
Transportation to doctor’s visits or other appointments may also be available.
All Healthy Families Page County services are offered at no cost, and participation in the program is completely voluntary.
